You already know what to say.
The hard part is everything else.

You have years of clinical training and real-world experience with the problems that keep people from living well — burnout, anxiety, relationship breakdown, grief, communication, boundaries. These are things whole auditoriums of people need help with.

But clinical expertise doesn't automatically become a workshop. Most therapists who want to start speaking get stuck at the same set of questions:

"How do I know if I have enough to say?"

"Who would hire me to speak?"

"What do I even charge for this?"

"I don't have a bio, a proposal, or any of the materials."

Speaking 101 answers all of these. In two hours, you'll work through them in real time — and you'll leave with actual materials, not just inspiration.

Made for licensed therapists
at any stage of speaking

This workshops helps:

Licensed therapists (LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist, LPC) in the Bay Area or working virtually

Therapists who have thought about offering workshops for more than six months but haven't started

Therapists who have done a few workshops or talks and want to formalize and grow what they're offering

Therapists who want to reach more people than one-on-one work allows

Therapists ready to do actual work during the session — not just absorb information

What you'll gain during our time together:

This is a working session. By the end, you won't have a list of things to do — you'll have actual drafts ready to refine and send.

Your Niche Statement

A clear, specific description of who you speak to and what transformation you offer — the foundation every other marketing material is built on.

01

02

Your signature workshop concept

A title, a target audience, and a 2-sentence description of your signature workshop — something concrete you can pitch the same week you leave.

03

Your speaker kit

A speaker bio in three formats, a one-page workshop proposal, and a speaker intro script — the materials every venue will ask for when they say yes.

Our Agenda:

Two hours. Real work. Actual results.

Welcome: Opening & Orientation

Introductions, session goals, and why therapists are uniquely positioned as workshop leaders — including the ethical frame that keeps our work distinct from therapy.

Module 1: Your niche & Your Audience

Clarify who you're speaking to, what problem you solve, and where therapist-speakers get hired. Includes a live activity to draft your niche statement.

Module 2: Design your signature workshop

Learn the 3-part framework for turning your clinical expertise into a repeatable, bookable workshop offering. Draft your title and 2-sentence description in real time.

Module 3: Your speaker marketing kit

Walk through the three documents every speaker needs: a bio in three formats, a one-page proposal, and a speaker intro script. You'll draft your bio before we move on.

Module 4: Pricing, pitching & getting booked

How therapist-speakers price their workshops in the Bay Area market, how to write a pitch email, and how to evaluate whether an opportunity is worth your time.

Closing, Commitments, & Q&A

Each participant states their workshop title to the group, we open for questions, and you leave with your resource guide and a clear next step.

You probably have questions.
Let's answer them.

I've never done a workshop before. Is this too advanced for me?

Not at all. Speaking 101 is designed to work for therapists at any starting point — including people who have thought about this for years but haven't taken a single step yet. The session walks you through the fundamentals from the beginning. If anything, coming in without existing habits means you'll build a more intentional foundation.

I've already done a few workshops. Will this still be useful?

Yes — the value for you is in formalizing what you've been doing intuitively: creating a speaker kit, defining a clear niche, and building a repeatable offering you can market consistently.

Will this be recorded? Can I watch it later?

No. The session is not recorded. The reason is simple: the value of Speaking 101 is in doing the work in real time, with the energy of the group. The live activities — drafting your niche statement, workshopping your title, getting feedback from other therapists in the room — can't be replicated on a recording. Everyone who attends will receive all templates and worksheets by email after the session.

What does $275 actually get me?

Two hours of live, small-group instruction and working time. Three templates you keep: a niche statement worksheet, a signature workshop template, and a speaker bio + proposal template. And — most importantly — you leave with actual drafts of your materials, not a to-do list.

I'm not sure I have anything interesting enough to say. What if my topic isn't compelling?

This is the most common hesitation — and it almost never reflects reality. If you've been practicing for more than a year, you have clinical frameworks and insights that laypeople desperately want and need. The problem is rarely a shortage of content; it's not knowing how to package what you already know. That's exactly what we work on in Module 2.

What's the refund policy?

Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the workshop date. After that, your registration can be transferred to a future cohort. If something comes up on the day of the workshop, reach out directly — I'll do what I can to accommodate you.

Is there anything that comes after this workshop?

Yes! After completing Speaking 101, you'll be invited to join the Speaker's Coworking Group — a small monthly group for therapists who want ongoing accountability, peer feedback, and skill-building as they build their speaking practice. It's entirely optional, and you'll hear about it at the end of the workshop. It's not required to get full value from Speaking 101 on its own.

Your expertise deserves
a bigger room.

Two hours. Three deliverables. A speaking practice that finally has a foundation.
